Acapulco Chair design has held its exact silhouette for seventy years, and for one simple reason: it arrived finished. Some chairs are furniture. This one is a landmark — born from the cliffside villas and poolside terraces of 1950s Acapulco, where Mexico’s jet set once gathered at sunset.
A single, unbroken length of cord is hand-strung around a slender oval steel frame — no cushion, no upholstery, nothing to disguise the construction and nothing that needs to be. The taut weave flexes gently with the body, while the open, sculptural form reads as much as art object as it does seating.
Finished in a vivid turquoise against a matte black frame, this Acapulco Chair brings a confident, sun-drenched colour into any lounge, terrace, or poolside setting.
